Jurong Lake, Jurong Eco Garden 22Jul18

From KH

Con, Danny and I started the day's birding at Jurong Lake as it has been sometimes since we last visited the place. The Chinese Garden carpark is under renovation, but there is a temporary carpark nearby.

This pair of Stork-billed Kingfishers put on a good show as there was someone feeding them.

This Grey Heron also put up a good show as it went about catching this Zebra Tilapia for breakfast.

Nearby, the others were busy nesting.

A male Brown-throated Sunbird joined in the fun, striking a nice pose.

These young Mayan Cichlids were lucky to be alive, hanging out with an Apple Snail.

Not so for this huge catfish or what's left of it, breakfast for a Common Water Monitor.
