Coney Island, Punggol Promenade 08May21

From KH

Coney Island is a good place for many butterflies:

Common Sailor - top and bottom view of the same individual.

Great Eggflies (different forms) on Lantana

Autumn Leaf

As well as day-flying moths, like these Hubner's Wasp Moths on Bidens.

There were also Scaly-breasted Munias of various ages around: adult, immature and juvenile.

At Punggol Promenade, Pink-necked Green-Pigeons were still nesting.

While juvenile Yellow-vented Bulbuls had already fledged and were begging for food.

I made a short visit to Hampstead Wetland Park and saw this Domestic Duck.

Caught this Grey-headed Fish-Eagle in flight.

And saw this Large-billed Crow guarding its nest.

Hopefully those on the boat are able to get better shots.

This is the general direction of flight. Staying close to Batam coast line. From the narrowest point between Kusu and Batam, the bird can be seen turning towards Batam instead of flying straight.
