Pasir Ris Park 08Mar25

From KH

Danny, JS and I went to Pasir Ris Park for JS's tick, Slaty-legged Crake. Saw it but hard to get a photo.

While waiting for the crake, a couple of Blue-winged Pittas entertained the crowd, perching on Rain Tree.

A rooster lost a feather that's about 15 cm long.

I was shooting this Purple Heron and did not know there was a Yellow Bittern in the foreground until reviewing the photos!

Continuing Common Kingfisher at the same pond.

Rose-ringed Parakeet, long tail or short tail? Depends on angle.

Chicken, male and female.

Chestnut Bob, a skipper butterfly.

Two trees side by side, one with lichens, one with mosses? Why?

Next, Pasir Ris Farmway. Got 5 Chinese Pond-Herons assuming breeding plumage. Here are 2 of them.
