Danny and I went to Dairy Farm Nature Park today.

The best "bird" today was a huge Greater Death's Head Hawkmoth caterpillar.

Common Sun Skink crawling along. Think the caterpillar might be too large for it to stomach.

Pulau Ubin 17May26

Having failed to connect with White-chested Babbler previous trip, Danny and I made another attempt today. But, still no SG tick..

But Ruddy Kingfisher was still around.

Mangrove Pitta heard only last trip, but showed today. It was mostly behind mangrove roots though.

White-rumped Shama also came to play. This time, it was an adult, with a somewhat worn tail.

Lastly, a big troop of Long-tailed Macaques came to kaypoh what these birders were doing here.

A White-chested Babbler was spotted at the stream beside Kelichap Hut, so the Lau family and I made this trip there today. Alas, we did not connect with the bird.

Nice to see Ruddy Kingfisher though.

Another ruddy bird? Oh, just a juvenile White-rumped Shama.

Another ruddy animal? Oh, just an All-pink Fingered Vinegar Crab.

Seletar Park Connector 30Apr26

Today, Little Heron joined Medium Egret and Little Egrets for breakfast at Seletar Park Conenctor.

Coppersmith Barbet making friends with Asian Openbill.

White-bellied Sea-Eagle couple at Albizia nest. Spot both eagles.

Juvenile Scarlet-backed Flowerpecker looking for food.

The unexpected observation today was a Javan Myna whacking an unknown chick. When I approached, the myna move away and then went for a spider instead. After I walked away, the myna went back to the chick. RIP little one.

This Water Monitor is still surviving despite the plastic collar.

The 2nd SG record of White-bellied Erpornis was first spotted at Chek Jawa on 12 Apr earlier this month. Danny and I finally made this trip to try for this SG tick, and we were glad that we did, as the bird was not seen there after!

Other birds here included this male Scarlet-backed Flowerpecker.

These shouting Red-whiskered Bulbuls and Yellow-vented Bulbuls.

A surprising Red Collared Dove.

This Little Tern was flying towards us. Nice.

Danny and I went to Dairy Farm Nature Park today.

A backlit Banded Woodpecker sunning itself.

An uncooperative Red-eyed Bulbul hiding from us.

Other animals were more forthcoming, like this Green Crested Lizard with dark eye bag. Bro, never sleep last night??

Cruiser not exactly close, but good enough.

Seletar Park Connector 23Apr26

Pacific Swallow making nest at Seletar Park Connector.

Ashy Tailorbird juvenile already fledged and looking at me like "do you have food for me?"

Oriental Magpie-Robin did have food. Here, enjoying breakfast by whacking a caterpillar.

Asian Openbill finished breakfast and resting already.

Depending on perspective, openbill dining area or apple snail cemetery.
