Danny and I joined the other raptor watchers at Mount Faber today.

1 of 4 Black Bazas.

1 of 3 Chinese Sparrowhawks. This one spotting weird chest feather patterns.

2 of 20 Oriental Honey-Buzzards.

Juvenile Rufous-bellied Eagle continuing.

When there are no birds, other animals kept us busy. This Flat-tailed Gecko was eyeing the Longhorn Crazy Ants carrying a dead Myrma spiny ant.

Hindhede, Bukit Timah 08Jun24

Danny, JS and I went to Hindhede Nature Park today. Nice to see a Collared Scops-Owl devouring a Double-spotted Gecko.

Time for health check, i.e. scale Bukit Timah Hill. Nice to get a male Asian Fairy-Bluebird.

After Telok Blangah Forest Walk, it was raptor watch time at the Waves. However, I guess it was still too early for the migrants. Only got the residents, like this Grey-headed Fish-Eagle.

The rest of the time was spent shooting other stuff, like this gecko, this beetle

and these grasshoppers: Nisitrus malaya and Rufous-legged Grasshopper.

Here's a Purple Heron hiding in the tall grass.

And a Sooty-headed Bulbul singing away.

Asian House Gecko taking a siesta.

While Changeable Lizards mated.

Love is in the air here. mating Plain Tigers and mating Hubner's Wasp Moths.

Common Scarlet male and female abound but none mating.

Male Blue Dasher and male Common Bluetail.
