The third SG record of Brown-breasted Flycatcher was spotted at Punggol Park on 17 Oct. I went and saw it, but no clicks. On 18 Oct, again saw but no clicks. On 19 Oct, at the end of census along Sungei Serangoon, bingo!

A Brown-chested Jungle-Flycatcher was also around, confusing matters, so care is to be taken.

I spent the later afternoon at Punggol Park and got this Rose-ringed Parakeet happily feeding on seed pod of Indian Rosewood.

Here's a Common Amberwing minding its own business.

And a moth hiding in the grass.

Today is Annual Bird Census. I covered Sungei Serangoon as usual, with the usual birds.

Saw this Yellow Bittern preening itself in Punggol Park while I was walking past.

A short walk along Serangoon Reservoir turned up another migrant -  Common Sandpiper.

A lone Smooth Otter was having dinner.

So was a Red-eared Slider, which was feasting on a Common Tilapia carcass.

Finally, a couple of Armoured Catfish were resting in the canal.
