Punggol Park, Serangoon Reservoir 03Dec18

A late afternoon loop around Punggol Park yielded a couple of migrants.


Male Common Kingfisher prospecting his final meal of the day.


Adult Yellow Bittern hiding among the reeds.

  9. 1 Rose-ringed Parakeet - Heard
  10. 1 Golden-bellied Gerygone - Heard
  11. 1 Black-naped Oriole
  12. 2 Malaysian Pied-Fantail
  13. 1 House Crow
  14. 1 Pacific Swallow
  15. 1 Ashy Tailorbird
  16. 3 Oriental White-eye - Heard
  17. 20 Javan Myna
  18. 3 Scarlet-backed Flowerpecker
  19. 1 Olive-backed Sunbird


A short walk along Serangoon Reservoir turned up another migrant -  Common Sandpiper.


A lone Smooth Otter was having dinner.


So was a Red-eared Slider, which was feasting on a Common Tilapia carcass.


Finally, a couple of Armoured Catfish were resting in the canal.
