Morning walk at Seletar Park Connector with the usual cast of Grey Heron, Medium Egret and Little Egrets.

Not the usual, a couple of kungfu Medium Egrets.

Asian Openbills continuing.

Asian Brown Flycatcher with its awesome head gear..

Another brown bird: Brown Shrike.

Also a brown bird, but more often heard than seen: Black-browed Reed-Warbler.

I went to Seletar Park Connector today.

Brown Shrike wintering here.

Yellow Bittern also. "See how long my neck is!"

Grey Heron (below right): "Medium Egret and Little Egrets, any good stuff up there??"

Damselflies that used to be called Blue Sprite (Pseudagrion microcephalum), now split off as P. siamense.

What remains of honey bee nest in Shoebutton Ardisia.

Yellow Flame Tree blooming in the golf course.

I went to Sengkang Riverside Park today.

Some of the migrants included this very vocal Brown Shrike, sometimes in cattail, sometimes in Alligator Flag.

And this Asian Brown Flycatcher.

Raptor-wise, only this Oriental Honey-Buzzard.

Resident-wise, Purple Heron trying to blend in with the grass.

Yellow-bellied Prinia not hiding in the reeds.

Female Common Flameback and adult Asian Glossy Starling sharing African Oil Palm fruit.

Javan Myna and Common Myna in comparison.

I spotted this Brown Shrike on 28 Jun. Handphone shot. Over-stayer or early arrival?

I saw it again on 5 Jul. Handphone shot. Regardless, it was making itself comfy here.

On 26 Jul, a bat decided to appear on the grass patch during midday!

Jurong Lake 12Oct20

Went to Jurong Lake for Chinese Blue Flycatcher, but got other Brown-chested Jungle-Flycatcher and female Yellow-rumped Flycatcher instead.

Arctic Warbler - the dark marks on the orange lower mandible and yellowish wash in other parts of the underparts gave it away.

This Black-naped Oriole caught a huge mantis!

This Brown Shrike can only look with envy.

This male Common Kingfisher was getting ready to dive.

Noisy Tanimbar Corella × Yellow-crested Cockatoo hybrid perched in Pong Pong tree.

Introduced Orange-cheeked Waxbills enjoyed grass seeds.

Asian Honey Bee collected nectar from flower, while Chrysodeixis moth used it as a rest spot.
