Dairy Farm, Hindhede 07Dec19

I started the day's birding at Wallace Education Centre. There was a nice Siberian Thrush roosting on the false curry leaf tree.


This Rufous-tailed Tailorbird wasn't very cooperative. Fortunately, this Asian Emerald Dove was more confiding.


While this Green Crested Lizard was showing off its long tail.

Moving on to Singapore Quarry, I spotted an Oriental Darter on the far right side. Apparently, it was reported earlier today at Hindhede Quarry. Same or different bird? That's anyone's guess.

Next stop, Hindhede Nature Park. Not very productive for birds, but good for mammals, such as these Common Fruit Bats and this Sunda Colugo.


And good for reptiles, like this Wagler's Pit Viper with a full belly and this Common House Gecko hiding under the shelter.
