Dairy Farm, Hindhede 07Mar26

From KH

Danny and I started the day's birding at Dairy Farm Nature Park. Often heard only, so it's nice to see a pair of Straw-headed Bulbuls here.

Nice to see a Sunda Colugo too.

Even nicer to see my first Spiny Orb-weaver Spider (Gasteracantha diadesmia).

Next, Hindhede Nature Park. Oriental Darter preening in the quarry.

Not one, but two Sunda Colugos.

From KH

Danny and I went to Hindhede Nature Park today. A visit that will not be complete without seeing any Sunda Colugo, and we saw 4!

Immature Greater Racket-tailed Drongo put on quite a show for us.

Hindhede, Dairy Farm 29Jul23

From KH

Danny, JS and I started the day's birding at Hindhede Nature Park. Bird-wise, just a few residents, so shoot some other animals instead, such as the regular Colugo.

Next, Dairy Farm Nature Park.

Male Asian Fairy-Bluebird was having a buffet of False Stinger (Pipturus argenteus), more commonly known as "mulberry".

Singapore Quarry 31Dec22

From KH

I went with Danny to Singapore Quarry on the last day of 2022.

Colugo just needed a good sleep.

Wild Pig not looking very happy: grr, grrrr, GRRRR!

Osprey put up a good show, going a few rounds.

Square-tailed Drongo-Cuckoo put up an even better show, catching and eating mostly fluffy Sarbena moth caterpillars, and also some other caterpillars.

Close-up on Sarbena and its host plant Sea Almond. What're all those brown spots on the leaves? Fungi?

These dark-thoraxed Ornate Coraltails mating. More damselflies to come in 2023.

A Starry Bob to end off a great 2022.

Hindhede, Dairy Farm 20Aug22

From KH

Danny and I started the day's birding at Hindhede Nature Park. Here's a mandatory photo of the Sunda Colugo.

Here's a male Common Archduke.

At Dairy Farm Nature Park, this Long-tailed Macaque was having its favourite snack, potato chips, but wait this doesn't taste like potato chips, said the monkey.

Female Common Archduke.

Robberfly eating beetle.

Phacusa moth caterpillars fattening up on Red Leea.

Another type of moth caterpillars taking a rest.
