Pasir Ris Park 25Aug18
From KH
The stars of Pasir Ris Park are the resident owls: the famous one-eyed jack Buffy Fish-owl, and the Sunda Scops Owl.
As well as the pair of Spotted Wood Owls.
A surprise today was this adult male Tweeddale morph Oriental Honey-buzzard of the torquatus subspecies.
A female Oriental Honey-buzzard of the orientalis subspecies also made a showing.
Other residents, like this male Common Flameback and this proud White-throated Kingfisher, were also present.
Here's the same flameback feeding away.
The domestic chickens were breeding well here.
This Common Flying Lizard glided in and showed its yellow gular flap.
Carpenter Bees (left Xylocopa latipes, right X. aestuans) were going crazy over these yellow flowers.
Whereas Asian Honey Bees were doing the same thing over these small white flowers.
