Seletar 06Feb21

From KH

Danny and I started the day's birding at Hampstead Wetland.

The Oriental Pied Hornbills were nesting.

"Here's a piece of mud for house-keeping." says the male.

"Good job! A little fruit to reward you, dear!" he says.

Here's a glimpse of the female.

The Buffy Fish Owls were also nesting. Here's junior playing peek-a-boo.

We then headed to Seletar West Farmway and saw a perched pale morph Changeable Hawk Eagle.

And an adult Brahminy Kite carrying a huge stick, no doubt for nest building.

There were a few swintail snipes. Note pale trailing edge, not white like Common Snipe.

And here's a White-throated Kingfisher in the sweltering heat.
