Went for the female Cotton Pygmy Goose reported since 8 Feb and the she was still around! What a fabulous V-day present. haha.

Glad to see the Purple Herons still nesting at the park. Here are 2 chicks sharing a nest.

Throw in an adult Striated Heron for good measure.

Lastly, a male Common Iora to round it all up.

Satay by the Bay 15Jan16

A pair of Cotton Pygmy-geese were sighted at Satay by the Bay and each of us made our own trips to tick off this rarity. This pair was apparently a one-day-wonder as they were not seen again the next day. They were not always on the pond, but when they were, they feed eagerly, perhaps in preparation for the onward migration.
