Sungei Buloh 07Sep22
From KH
I went to Sungei Buloh today for any early waders. Got a less common Terek Sandpiper hanging out with the 75 Common Redshanks.
1 of 60 Eurasian Whimbrels showing its crown stripe and hanging out with the redshanks.
Little Egrets: "Bro, any fish?" "Quiet! I'm focussing."
Clockwise from top left: Ashy Tailorbird caught a caterpillar. It was so jubilant that it fanned its tail! Tongue is involved! Final toss before gobbling it up.
Male Scarlet-backed Flowerpecker eating a fruit on the Calabur Tree.
Smooth Otter making a run.
Plantain Squirrel: I need my sugar. I need my sugar.
Mud Creeper Telescopium telescopium, the most common molluscs in the ponds. Barnacles in the foreground.
Wasp hanging out with sea snails: Littoraria sp. (left) and Lined Nerite (right).
Mangrove Jewel Bug showing its spot pattern.
Javanese Grasshopper munching down a leaf.
