Sengkang Riverside Park 07Oct20
From KH
I spent the late afternoon at Sengkang Riverside Park and saw this Rose-ringed Parakeet tackling tree bark??
An Common Iora stretching its neck.
Malaysian Pied-Fantail looking pretty.
Moving on to the dragonflies. Here's an Oriental Blue Dasher on a man-made perch.
And a couple of similar-looking female dragonflies - Common Parasol (left) and Common Scarlet.
Next, the grasshoppers. Here's a Short-winged Rice Grasshopper Pseudoxya diminuta.
And a couple of grasshopper nymphs.
Other insects included this leaf beetle and this Pygmy Grass Blue butterfly sipping Tridax Daisy nectar.
A couple of planthoppers.
And this Ricanula stigmatica planthopper.
Spider-wise, there were many Oxyopes lynx spiders. Some like these doing nothing.
Others like these, eating a cranefly or guarding her eggs.
