Seletar Dam, Punggol 28Sep19

Paid a short visit to Seletar Dam, but disappointed that there were no waders!

Danny and I started the day's birding at Bidadari, and were rewarded with a number of migrants, DS & YR FC, EC & A Warbler, B & T Shrike, D Starling, nothing rare though.

Sengkang, Punggol 14Sep19

At Sengkang, this katydid posed for some handphone shot.


At Punggol Promenade, these birds did their respective pose, and somehow they all happened to face right.

These sessile barnacles didn't need to pose as they must be here for a long time now!


A Common Grass Yellow on the flower it loves.


At Punggol Waterway, it was a surprise to see a Wild Pig in broad daylight!

Seletar West 13-14Sep19

It was dragonfly haven here.


Variegated Green Skimmer (Orthetrum sabina)


Common Scarlet (Crocothemis servilia) - female left, male right

But the Dancing Dropwing (Trithemis pallidinervis) seemed to be the most common here.


And they like to perch on these plants.


This Pacific Swallow preferred a more sturdy perch.

Moving on to Windsor Nature Park, we got a rather cooperative Stork-billed Kingfisher.


There was also a Haas' Bronzeback around.


And a Common Snakehead in the stream.


Tussock moth caterpillar was crawling on the wooden railing.


Danny said: "Take photo of the plant with the flies to show how sweet it is compared to that without." I obliged and later found out that this plant is of the genus Spathiphyllum and is not native to Singapore.
