A 1.5-hour mid-afternoon session at Bidadari turned up 20 species, including this Slaty-breasted Rail that almost got away.


This is one of two Brown Shrikes (left), as well as one of two Asian Brown Flycatchers in the area.


Both common kingfishers were present: Collared Kingfisher (left) and White-throated Kingfisher.


Some of the feral Variable Squirrels were still round.
