From DannyWhile Con was at SBWR, JS & myself were back at Rifle Range trail. As it was overcast, didn't expect much but was hoping to spot some early migrant. There was no migrant but a lot of birding activities including the usual banded woodpeckers, red-crowned barbets, chestnut-bellied malkoha, drongo, flowerpeckers, grey-rumped treeswifts (female), short-tailed babblers and as night set in both resident owls were heard (the collared flew in close but didn't carry any torchlight). One interesting item spotted was the Malayan box turtle at the stream who took its time wallowing in & sank itself into a mudhole - well this photographer even take a longer time & missed the action.
