Woodleigh 17Aug06

From KH
Took an evening drive/walk at Woodleigh opposite the Bidadari cemetery with Danny. Interesting sightings were as follows:
  1. A pair of noisy Oriental Pied-hornbills that flew in a tall tree when we were about to leave.
  2. A large vacant White-bellied Sea-eagle nest in a tall tree, while the juvenile was calling away for the whole duration we were there.
  3. Common Hill Mynas prospecting for a nest hole.
  4. Variable (or Finlayson's) Squirrels were everywhere. These are escapees/releasees that have make a good living in this area.
