2 migrant kingfishers at the lake.

At the Japanese Garden side.

Another migrant - a Common Sandpiper.


This is a juvenile Blue-crowned Hanging-parrot as can be seen from the yellow bill. The adult has a black bill.


The adult Black-naped Oriole has a red bill and the juvenile has a black bill. Also, the juvenile lacks the prominent black eye band.

At the Chinese Garden side.

And a migrant egret - a Cattle Egret having a centipede for snack.


The resident adult Black-crowned Night-heron joined in the fun.


An adult Brahminy Kite on the hunt.


A Lineated Barbet


and a Pied Imperial-pigeon. Both not local - the barbet is an introduced bird that has made itself at home here, while the pigeon is a free-ranging bird from the nearby Jurong Bird Park.
