JS and myself dropped by AMK Town Garden West yesterday after 2 pm. Ender (he was with SC on Sat) was around and showed us the probable area where the goshawk was seen the previous day. Basically the area around the pagoda-shaped shelter lined with palm trees. There was a perched OHB on arrival but flew off before anyone take a shot. Ender probably a regular showed us photos of male Chinese, wintering around the area and also Jap Sparrowhawks.

Just about 3.30 pm when both of us packed up and climbing down the steps, the Crested Goshawk flew in and perched for a good view with my bins but flew off before anyone could take a shot, eventually it flew across and over. No photo, sigh! Not a big place, so if you stalked it with patience, good chance to tick it.

I went there today after work. Spotted Con and another photog. Con was there since mid afternoon. We did see a goshawk, but it has no crest... It is the male Chinese Sparrowhawk. Only consolation was a happy mac meal.
