I attended the meeting of Raptor Watchers in Tokyo.
Over 250 persons attended the meeting.

I heard the lecture of Dr. Higuchi of Tokyo Unversity.
He had many interesting themes.

1. OHBs have different courses between going and coming.
The reason is the difference of weather condition of each season.
He showed the animation of “Wind’s direction & Raptor’s location”.

2. Interesting GFB’s activity of migration
In 2008 a GFB came to Northern of Japan.
After breeding, it went to Northern of Taiwan.
In 2009 it went to Southern of Korea.

3. GFB’s activity in Breeding place & Wintering place.
GFBs need collaboration with human races’ life.

After the lecture, I asked him if he published English version of “Raptor’s Migration”.
He already published Chinese version and Korean version.
He want to publish English version.
If English version is published, I feel many persons will have their interest about Raptor’s Migaration.
For example, after publishing, Korean birders started to organize the team of researching.
Does anyone translate his book about Migaration into English? :-)

And I had another interest in the meeting.
Mr.Ikegami, one of watchers, had his interest about THERMAL (POINT).
The points is interested by Paraglider fans.
We can get the information of the points.

In Japan, almost watcher watch the Raptors every day, not a day, for about 3 weeks.
They know some peaks of the migration.
But the watching is difficult for business person.
It’s a problem.
