Nesting continues for the Oriental Pied-Hornbills at Hampstead Wetlands Park. Mummy behind the chick(s).

Blue-tailed Bee-eaters looking left and looking down.

Rose-ringed Parakeet perching high.

One frog fewer.

Seletar West 26Feb25

From KH

I took a short morning walk at Seletar Park Connector, and the Reed Warblers (Black-browed and Oriental) and Grasshopper Warblers (Pallas's) were still around.

Continuing to Rower's Bay Park, got a small family of Smooth Otters feasting.

Kranji Marsh 23Feb25

From KH

Danny and I went to Kranji Marsh today. Nice to see a White-browed Crake.

For some reason, Swamphen Hide was a bit crowded with birds today. How many Red-wattled Lapwings?

Asian Openbills suntanning.

Great Egret also came to the party.

Living in harmony. Can we?

Raptor Tower never fails to deliver. Here's an Osprey.

Sengkang Riverside Park 22Feb25

From KH

I did the Parrot Count at Sengkang Riverside Park today. Got 17 Rose-ringed Parakeets, 33 Red-breasted Parakeets and 8 Long-tailed Parakeets. Here are 3 Long-tailed Parakeets high up after 7pm.

Coincidentally, some folks were free-flying their pet macaws, including Red-and-green Macaw, Scarlet Macaw, Blue-and-yellow Macaws, and their hybrid.

Hampstead Wetland 21Feb25

From KH

Continuing from the last trip, the Oriental Pied-hornbill mother and chicks were still sealed in the tree hole at Hampstead Wetlands Park. The father had to bring back food for the family.

First, he would go to a nearby perch.

Then, he would go to the nest and start feeding, in this case, by regurgitating figs.

Seletar West, Seletar Dam 20Feb25

From KH

At Seletar Park Connector, a small family of Smooth Otters were hunting. Handphone shot.

Moving on to Seletar Dam, via Rower's Bay, nothing much.

At Seletar Dam, no waders, just some egrets.
