Turf City, Marina East, Botanic Gardens 05Dec20

From KH

When news of Chestnut-cheeked Starling at Turf City broke, Con, Danny and I went looking for it, while JS went to Kranji Marsh. Then news of jacana at Marina East came and we left for it. JS arrived after we left and got the starling! ebird checklist

Oh well, at least we got the Pheasant-tailed Jacana at Marina East. ebird checklist

So it's back to Turf City, but the bird is nowhere to be found. We only got Daurian and Asian Glossy Starlings. ebird checklist

After lunch, we continued waiting for the starling, but no luck. ebird checklist

While the rest left, I went SBG for the male Narcissus Flycatcher that the rest have seen the last few days there. ebird checklist

Halus 20Jan13

From Danny

On Sunday late afternoon, when news came thru on the Jacana at Halus, both Jia Sheng and myself were so bored by the continuous drizzles we took off without much hesitation. I had earlier unpacked from my car and in the haste, left my tripod at home, hence when the bird was sighted, only record shots were taken using a three-legged stool as support and an umbrella as shelter. Nevertheless we got our SG tick, an adult, non-breeding Pheasant-tailed Jacana.
