Punggol 30Dec23

A Black-thighed Falconet was reported at Punggol Waterway Park on 28 Dec 2023 and then Punggol 17th Ave on the next day. JS still needed this SG tick, so that's where we went.

I arrived early enough to see it finishing up the last bit of the Aerodramus swiftlet it caught. Danny and JS came later and missed the bird.

Long-tailed Macaques were going on with their monkey business.

Beware of Lesser Banded Hornets!

We went to Punggol Waterway Park to check if it flew there, but the answer was no.

We then circled back to Punggol 17th Ave, but it seemed the bird had gone into digestive mode hiding somewhere. JS will have to try again. Brahminy Kites were hanging around though.

White-bellied Sea Eagle nest also "hanging around", apparently for some years now.
