SBWR 16Dec19

From KH

SBWR was disappointing nowadays. The only waders around were Whimbrels...

Luckily, there were egrets to entertain visitors. Here's an Intermediate Egret with prawn in mouth.

One of the Little Egrets that tried to snatch the prawn from the Intermediate Egret.

An Arctic Warbler was calling nearby.

While the birds were generally disappointing, the reptiles were not. Here're some of them.

Estuarine Crocodile, about 1.5 m long

Flat-tailed Gecko

Green Crested Lizard

Mangrove Pit Viper

The insects also didn't disappoint.

Andrew's Blue-banded Digger Bee (Amegilla andrewsi)

Some kind of wasp

Common Grass Yellow

Damselflies Ceriagrion cerinorubellum mating while a "light bulb" looked on

Javanese Grasshopper nymph
