Pasir Ris Park 18Jan11

From Con

In hind sight the juvenile Large Hawk-cuckoo did look really large, and an actual Hodgson's Hawk-cuckoo flew briefly to another tree and looked really small by comparison, although the light was bad and the glimpse was short.

I am really surprised that the juvenile has spots on the chest and belly while the adult has horizontal barring. I have an image of a juvenile Fraser's Hill Dark Hawk-cuckoo. This bird was still being fed by it's host but shows some beginnings of horizontal barring.
