Danny, JS and I went to Dawson Skyville for raptor watch, but only the usual raptors, such as this Oriental Honey-Buzzard.

It's back to Dawson Skyville again with Danny. Good haul today.

1 juvenile Grey-faced Buzzard

1 of 10 Japanese Sparrowhawks; this one a juvenile

1 of 2 Oriental Honey Buzzards; this one a juvenile

1 Changeable Hawk-Eagle, an immature pale morph

1 Rufous-bellied Eagle, an immature

2 of 8 migrating Pacific Swifts.

Lots of dark swiftlets sp. (Aerodramus sp.)

1 of 18 migrating Eastern Red-rumped Swallows.

Large-billed Crow carrying lunch, a signal for us to break for lunch.

It's raptor watch at Dawson Skyville again for Danny and me.

1 Osprey

1 of 7 Oriental Honey-Buzzards; this one an adult male orientalis.

1 of 2 Japanese Sparrowhawks; this one a juvenile.

Also, got 1 Chinese Sparrowhawk and 7 unid accipitrinae hawks.

Danny and I went to Dawson Skyville for raptor watch. Only 3 migrant raptors in the morning:

Japanese Sparrowhawk, male left, female right.

Juvenile Chinese Sparrowhawk with one dangling tail feather.

Local raptors: immature pale Changeable Hawk-Eagle, immature Grey-headed Fish-Eagle.

Migrant Pacific Swift.

After lunch, we did more raptor watch, only got 7 Oriental Honey-Buzzards and 1 accipitrinae hawk (formerly accipiter sp.): https://ebird.org/checklist/S120286833.

No birds, watch bee. Asian Honey Bee collecting nectar from this flower.

I started today's raptor watch at Telok Blangah Hill. Only Oriental Honey-Buzzards here.

After lunch, I joined Danny and JS at Dawson. 1 OHB and 1 accipiter, that's it..

Danny, JS and I continued with raptor watch at Dawson Skyville today. Migrant raptors wise, only 3 OHB and 5 JSH.

Kent Ridge Park, Dawson 16Oct21

News of a Spotted Flycatcher (first spotted on 15 Oct 2021) broke and the birding fraternity was all on site at Kent Ridge Park on 16 Oct 2021 for this Singapore-first. The bird went on to stay for a couple of weeks.

After having enough of the flycatcher, we made a move and got a thermaling Oriental Honey-Buzzard.

Over to Dawson Skyville for raptor watch, and Grey-rumped Treeswifts (male left, female right) were at the carpark to welcome us.

We got the usual OHB and accipiters. Here's one of the OHBs.

Baked today from 9:45am - 2pm. The Black Bazas continued streaming in. Added a Peregrine Falcon and a Greater Spotted Eagle to the tally so far.

After Henderson Waves, I dropped by Dawson SkyVille and had fun with these Grey-rumped Treeswifts. I counted 8, but there could be more.

Here're a couple: male on left (with reddish ear coverts) and female on right (without the reddish ear coverts).

There were also a few Scaly-breasted Munias feeding on the Tridax Daisy. Can you see spot the Red Dwarf Honey Bee?
