Sungei Buloh 18Feb23

From KH

Danny and I went to Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve today. At where was the previous carpark, a male White-rumped Shama was serenading us.

A fruiting MacArthur Palm was attracting Lineated Barbet. Yumz.

Along the boardwalk to the bridge, a juvenile Black-crowned Night-Heron was dozing off.

In the wetland, we saw Terek Sandpiper B5 tagged in Singapore (green on white flag) among 220 Common Redshanks, many of which were also tagged in Singapore (at least 4 in this photo). Apparently, B5 was tagged in 2013, so it's at least 10 years old now.

Some of the 200 Pacific Golden-Plovers.

Some of the 54 Eurasian Whimbrels.

Along the main loop, a fruiting Burmese Fishtail-Palm was attracting Pink-necked Green-Pigeons. Double yumz.

Copper-throated Sunbird couple was hanging around.

Oriental Whip Snake had its belly full, but what's the "shell" in its mouth?

Asian Honey Bees nesting in tree hole.

Wasp doing its own thing.
