Telok Blangah Hill 11Nov22

From KH

Raptor watch at Telok Blangah Hill again.

The only Jerdon's Baza today, a juvenile.

1 of 3 Black Bazas in a flock.

61 Oriental Honey-Buzzards, including a flock of 26, but can't get all of them in one frame.

Often times, smaller and larger raptors may (appear to) thermal together as was the case with this Oriental Honey-Buzzard and this Japanese Sparrowhawk.

Here's another Japanese Sparrowhawk. Total 3 today. There were another 6 other accipitrine hawks counted.

Resident raptor wise, this pale Changeable Hawk-Eagle looked like it was going to crash into the building! Fortunately, the upperwing coverts were activated to assist with the safe landing, phew.

Very backlit photo of a juvenile Brahminy Kite.

There was a flock of 5 White-rumped Munias on the terrace. They perched on the bougainvillea to feed on the grass seeds.

Didn't notice the Asian Honey Bee on one of the Tridax Daisies beside the munia until I reviewed the photo.

Other plants in the terrace: Lilac Tasselflowers among Acmella, and Little Ironweeds among grass.
