SBG 29Dec21

From KH

Just when I thought we are done for today's birding, news of vultures at Botanic Gardens came. Not just 1 Himalayan Griffon, but 5 Himalayan Griffons and 1 Cinereous Vulture! The latter is a completely new species for Singapore.

The Cinereous Vulture was at the lowest perch. The fifth Himalayan Griffon was not in these photos.

Then, one of the griffons decided to fly towards the huge crowds gathered at the carpark and landed on a tree there!

The Grey-headed Fish-Eagle looked small in comparison to the vultures!

At the lake, a Common Kingfisher was wondering what the commotion was about.

This is the tall tree that the vultures perched on.
