Lower Peirce 18-20Feb09

From Con on 18 Feb

Seen today at Lower Peirce boardwalks. Almost 2 meters long, couldn't capture the entire snake with long telephoto lens. About 1.5 meters long, but thin like a human index finger. Very nice yellow color as shown.

I was there from 6.15 to 7.40pm. Didn't spot your pretty snake. The bbkf was not around but got my target mammal, mousedeer at 7.30 pm. Birds seen were 2 Abbott's Babblers, male Siberian Blue Robin, Buffy Fish Owl, Red-legged Crakes, many Short-tailed Babblers, GRT drongoes... Nice, cozy place for birding but not so great for photography.

From GC on 20 Feb

This one was seen on 200209 at Lower Peirce, late morning. The copper cheeks can be seen clearly.
