NTL2, Circuit Road 07Nov09

From SY

Neo Tiew Lane 2

Since this is the season of the raptors, let's start with them.

Here is an Osprey - perched or flight, take your pick. This species has been overstaying here. Must be the good food here!

Here's a true blue migrant (a Peregrine Falcon) and it is a juvenile.

Now for the resident raptors. If you think the tail band is a Grey-headed Fish-eagle characteristic, think again.

The juvenile White-bellied Sea-eagle also has it!

Ashy Minivet - not a migrant raptor, but a migrant songbird.

Scaly-breasted Munia

Long-tailed Shrike.

The Intermediate Egret has a black-tipped yellow bill and all-black legs.

Here's a Little Tern on a big ball. Where are the migrant terns?

The deeply-forked tail makes Black-nest Swiftlet less likely, but you decide and tell me what swiftlets these are!

Circuit Road canal

The Little Egret has a black bill and black legs with yellow feet.

Common Sandpiper running away!
