Japan 22Jun08

From Yamane

I visited my favourite birding place last Sunday again. I could see the Japanese Paradise-flycatcher pair that I saw at the last time. I report to you about the birds that I found today.

Black Kite
Japanese Quail
Common Kingfisher
Japanese Green Woodpecker
Japanese Pygmy Woodpecker
Little Cuckoo
Barn Swallow
Brown-eared Bulbul
Japanese Bush Warbler
Asian Stubtail
Eastern Crowned Warbler
Blue-and-white Flycatcher
Japanese Paradise-flycatcher
Varied Tit
Great Tit
Japanese White-eye
Meadow Bunting
Carrion Crow
Large-billed Crow

The nest of Japanese Paradise-flycatcher was finished. Only female is incubating their eggs, just same as making the nest. The male never do also it. Why...? While the female is doing it, the male is wandering around there, with his song... Oh! just same as the last time! This male is lazy?

Near my house, I could meet the Barn Swallow family. These are the juveniles.
