Danny's update on the Slaty-breasted Rails

Glad to report another year of successfull breeding. This evening after the drizzle, finally spotted the 1st chick out in the open with Daddy. For past few evening, Daddy Rail have been out foraging alone . The chick (black like waterhen chick) was spotted behind NP hut. The chick once realised I was around quickly took cover back in the tall grasses. I guess in another week or so, Mommie Rail will parade her babies out for some typical S'pore shopping.
