Chek Jawa 23Apr22
From KH
Danny and I went to Chek Jawa again. The surprise find today was a female Scarlet-breasted Flowerpecker which brought happiness to many observers. Alas, I can't get any photos but others got identifiable shots. Apparently, she stayed until 6 May 2022, though not showing everyday.
Nonetheless, I managed to photographed her relative, male Scarlet-backed Flowerpecker.
Black-winged Flycatcher-shrike and male Ruby-cheeked Sunbird were still around from previous days and I managed to photograph them, albeit far.
The trees along the coastline, such as this Earpod Wattle, are a magnet for these rare birds.
Other trees:
There were many Gold-spotted Mudskippers on the mudflat.
I was shooting the Gold-spotted Mudskippers and only realized a Thorny Sea Cucumber hidden in the seagrasses after reviewing the photos.
