Berlayer Creek 02Apr22

From KH

Danny and I went to Berlayer Creek today and saw more pond-herons in the open field. This one in breeding plumage.

Then out of nowhere, a female Japanese Sparrowhawk swooped into the field and came out with a prey, a dark coloured bird. Based on the light coloured bill, eye and legs, I think it's a Javan Myna.

Medium Egret in the field just looked on unperturbed.

Then, a Yellow/Sulphur-crested cockatoo or hybrid flew across the sky.

At the boardwalk, this Tanimbar Corella was eating a pong pong fruit (Cerbera sp.). Don't be hit by the many pieces that it dropped!

Pin-striped Tit-Babbler: looking for me?
