Rower's Bay, Seletar Dam 12Sep20
From KH
Dropped by Rower's Bay and Seletar Dam for a look-see today.
Not many birds at the beginning. Just a House Crow, 3 Common Tailorbirds, 2 Pacific Swallows, 3 Javan Mynas and a Olive-backed Sunbird.
There were many other animals around though, such as these damselflies - male Blue Sprite and female Common Bluetail.
Similarly, lots of dragonflies, like these male and female Coastal Gliders striking their typical posture.
Male Common Scarlets showing the distinctive black stripe down the tail.
Arguably the most common dragonfly here: Dancing Dropwing.
Here's a butterfly, Common Tit, on a Cat Eye.
Beware of Red Dwarf Honey Bees!
These guppies hid in the shallow water.
Away from this hungry Red-eared Slider, which was devouring a dead fish.
At Seletar Dam, the only wader was a Common Sandpiper...
Raptor-wise, a lone Osprey was far far away in Johor Strait.
