Changi

From Con
I went to Palm Resort today with Frank O’Connor, he really enjoyed seeing the BEO family.
Today was pretty good with Frank, we saw Barred Eagle Owl, Spotted Wood Owl, Collared Scops Owl, Mangrove Pitta, Eastern Marsh Harrier (adult male), Malaysian Plover. But the Siberian Blue Robin didn’t come to the waterfall at SBG, and no Savanna Nightjar.
Here is the count at Changi. Subaraj didn’t come in as his wife wasn’t feeling well, so Danny’s scope turned out to have been absolutely essential, or else we would not have been able to see very much. The monsoon has created a new channel into the sand spit, see attached iPhone picture.
Grey Plover 9
Lesser Sand Plover 40
Ruddy Turnstone 3
Pacific Golden Plover 1
White faced Plover 3
Kentish Plover 22
Malaysian Plover 16
Common Sandpiper 1
Collared Kingfisher 2
Brahminy Kite 1
Grey Heron 1
Common Tailorbird 2
I got a high count of about 20 sand fly bites.
