Sime Forest 09Oct05
From KH
On 9 Oct (Sun), NSS organized a trip to the Sime Forest. There were more than 20 of us. It was a cloudy morning and it looked like rain was imminent. So we waited under the trees hoping the clouds would clear. Then, out from the forest, came Con and Marisol. "We're bailing out," Con said. They have gone in earlier. Throughout our walk, it drizzled on and off. We took the trail to the drain and then along the drain till the end at Upper Peirce Reservoir. The highlights were the three Forest Wagtails up on the tree where I bid the Foleys farewell, the Grey Wagtail at the drain, the pair of White-bellied Sea-eagles nesting at the reservoir and finally the last bird we encountered, a Little Spiderhunter. Only 19 birds for the morning.
