Sg Serangoon, Poyan 6Sep09

Despite the on-and-off light drizzle, the count at Sungei Serangoon was a decent 44 species including 4 species of woodpeckers. The flipside was the low count of migrants, only three species - little & yellow-billed egrets and common sandpiper. The species count was even higher (49) at Poyan! It is great that the Chestnut-bellied Malkoha is still doing well here - not many records outside the Central Forest.
