SBWR 01Nov07
From GC
Spent a morning at LCK-SBWR area on Thursday morning, weather was cloudy.
Saw 2 Large-tailed Nightjars and heard 2 Collared Scops Owls before dawn.
SBWR was quiet, only the usual shorebirds. Non-shorebirds included an Asian Paradise Flycatcher, Arctic Warbler, White-bellied Sea-Eagle, Collared Kingfisher, YV Bulbul and a flock of Pink-necked Pigeons feeding on a fruiting fig directly across the bridge leading to the freshwater ponds. Towards the end of the morning, a female sunbird posed quite a while for pictures, then a black colour bird appeared and chased it away. Looking through the camera, the colours came alive and it was soon apparent that it was a Copper-throated Sunbird.
