Mt Faber 29Jun08
From Danny
Went to Mt. Faber Changeable Hawk Eagle nest around 12 noon, fledging left nest possibly to a lower tree not visible from the usual look-out but it kept calling and responded to my imitation. On the way back to my car (parked at the coach lot at road junction) spotted both CHE perched on the Transmission Tower. On the top is the adult dark morph (no band/bar on tail) and below the pale morph adult (bold streaks on throat/neck).
My simple thought not conclusive, this pair responsible for the nearby nest, as one of the adult (male) is dark morph that leads to a dark morph juvenile.
Another interesting sighting was the juvenile White-rumped Shama (likely the same juv. I saw previously), who gave a cool 10 sec. full body view off LP24, still the scales/spots were apparent though the plumages were molting more like an adult.
