Mt Faber 25Jan09
From Danny
While waiting for Sunday church services to end, I took a casual walk along Kephill Road (foot of Mt Faber), a quiet and wooded drive that had in the past shown me a few uncommon migrants. This afternoon there were 2 Red-billed Blue Magpies, hunting for insects at mid-canopy outside the fencing of 11, Kephill Road. They stay for about 10 sec before taking off into the thicker foliages of Mt. Faber. Outstanding features were the orangy bill and long tail. Likely escapees.
