Mt Faber 23May10
From Danny
I went to my favourite birding retreat between Mt Faber Road car park A and Temengong Road. Besides the usual sunbirds, flowerpeckers, the pair of Abbott's Babblers were still around. Other regular birds seen were OW & YV bulbuls, common/dark-necked tailorbirds, koel, glossy starlings, common ioras, magpie robin, Oriental white-eye, PN pigeons, GRT Drongo.Instead of one Banded Woodpecker seen last week, there were two on Sunday.
Last week, I thought I saw a violet cuckoo, but today, definitely at least one Violet Cuckoo around.
One new bird spotted was an escapee, Yellow-fronted Canary.
