1st Japan birding report from Yamane after his return to Japan!

27-Aug. Sun. 5:50am-7:50am The upstream of Morito river, Hayama-machi, Kanagawa-ken, Japan

Black Kite
Bamboo Partridge
Rufous Turtle Dove
Japanese Green Woodpecker
Japanese Pygmy Woodpecker
Brown-eared Bulbul
Bush Warbler
Crowned Willow Warbler
Blue-and-White Flycatcher -> I found only songs.
Japanese Paradise Flycatcher -> with some Juveniles, Maybe "Family"
Great Tit
Varied Tit
Long-tailed Tit
Japanese White-eye
Jungle Crow
Today, I could not find the below birds, but they are common there.
Japanese Green Pigeon
Common Kingfisher


The path to the upstream. Japanese Paradise Flycatcher in the woods.


Same in Singapore. The nest of Japanese Paradise Flycatcher, but their nests are decreasing year by year.

From the middle of Sep. I will start the watching of migratory raptor!

I saw Japanese Paradise Flycatchers many time. Males, females, and juveniles. Their eyes is very beautiful light blue.
