Japan 25Apr10

From Yamane

Until the day before yesterday, it was very cold around Tokyo, same as winter. On 16. Apr. Friday it snowed. From yesterday it became warm. I report the bird around my place today.

Japanese Green Woodpecker
Japanese Pygmy Woodpecker
Barn swallow
Brown-eared Bulbul
Great Tit: singing song for breeding
Bush Warblers
Oriental Greenfinches
Eurasian Tree Sparrow
White-shouldered Starling
Carrion Crow

Dusky Thrush was watched until last Friday around here. I feel it already moved to north place.

I show you the Barn swallow's nest in the subway station. The station of Yokohama Municipal Subway, like a MRT, is near my place. The nests are near the entrance. The platform is under 50m from here. The shutter of the entrance is closed from 0:50 am to 5:10 am. The steel boards were attached by the station staffs, against the swallows' droppings.

One of 3 nests. The circumstance around the nests.
