Today I received nice pictures from Mr.Shimba, who published a nice picture guide book of Japanese birds last year. I transfer 3 nice pictures to you under his permission.

He took the pictures at Lake Yamanaka-ko in this week. Same as the place where I took the picture of my New Year Card.

Red-flanked Bluetail is resident in Japan. They are in high place, in mountain, in summer. In winter, they come down to plain area. Eurasian Siskin & Brambling are migrants from Siberia in winter.
