I stopped by the new Lor Halus Wetlands Park today, and to my pleasant surprise there was a Purple Swamphen standing out in the open on the cut grass!  Later he moved into the reeds.  I don’t know how many swamphens are around, it was close to noon and very hot so I didn’t survey all the reed beds. I also saw one Sooty-headed Bulbul.
