Changi, Pulau Punggol, Tuas 30Oct10

From Danny

We went to Changi around 0840 hr found LP149 barrier down and locked but great to see a single Common Buzzard at its usual perch feeding on a rodent. ©Lau JS

We proceed to track next to Newater Plant. No migrant raptors, only Brahminy Kite, BSK, WBSE & CHE.

However, we saw at least 3 RBCs, the best of which perched for about 20s, but I fumbled with my LED screen and end up with only a record shot. ©Danny Lau

Finally, manage to get a pic of a juvenile Lesser Coucal in the open. ©Danny Lau

Next, we headed to Pulau Punggol - no sign of Booted and only migrant raptor was a male Chinese Sparrowhawk - first for the season. ©Danny Lau

After lunch, we went over to Tuas, again no sign of any migrant raptors only the usual grassland birds to keep JS busy.

Besides the Chinese Sparrowhawk, there was an OHB flying across PIE near Aljunied exit while on the way to Changi.
